A traffic study is a detailed study of the transport system of a particular area in which traffic, parking and road safety issues are considered.
Indicative proposals include:
- Improvement of traffic organisation (diversions – one-way)
- Improving accessibility by banning traffic on certain road sections for certain periods of time.
- Creation of pedestrian and cycle routes (linking archaeological sites with major transport attractions)
- Creation of axes/light traffic areas
- Design / layout of off-street parking areas
- Immediate implementation measures to remove illegal parking at critical road junctions
